Grade Concerns
Students were told in December and at the start of January (in class and in multiple Weekly Announcements) that there was not going to be a 3Q Recovery Test. There will NOT be a 3Q Recovery Test. All students were provided two Kahoot opportunities per module and a recovery activity (e.g., crossword) worth up to 15 points each. Total, this amounts to 180 possible recovery points. These points will be applied on the 3Q before grades are finalized. To answer the question, they will be entered by 4:30 PM on Friday, March 11.
Further, students were provided on every IET and Assignment additional time past when it was due to submit the IETs and Assignments late. Remember, all IETs were due by 2:00 PM on the date they were assigned and all Assignments were due by 11:59 PM on the date they were assigned. The IETs and Assignments were left open until the respective module test to allow for late submission. In addition, students were provided an additional week for Modules 9 and 10 after the original closing dates to submit work that was not completed. Students were also provided two additional days past the closing date for Module 11. No extension of time is necessary or available for Module 12 as time to submit late work has been provided (from due date until module closing) and the 3Q grades are being finalized.
There are many students who have maintained great grades this school year. Several students have done exemplary work, earning as high as a 100/A average for multiple quarters. Thank you for continually doing your work in class each day without constant nudging, paying attention when notes are covered in class, asking questions when you don't understand something, accessing class resources (tutorials and the digital textbook) that were provided, and utilizing recovery point opportunities when available. Great job to the students that earned a satisfactory grade, you earned it.
