BASELINE TESTING MAKE-UP: There have been multiple opportunities provided to students to take the Baseline Test during class time. Students accessing the Baseline Test outside of the LIVE session will be reported to Testing and may have their score invalidated. This has already been the case with a few students. Remember, the Baseline Test is governed by Florida Statute and must be completed during a LIVE testing session. The next opportunity to make-up the Baseline Test will be on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
TEST MAKE-UP: Test and multiple make-up opportunities have been provided to students to take the Module 1 and 2 Tests, zeros have been input for those tests and the test and make-up tests are closed. Students who entered the class within the last two weeks will need to take the Module 2 Test on Monday, September 28, 2020 before 11:59 PM otherwise a zero will be entered and the make-up test will be closed. Any student who missed the Module 3 Test will also have the opportunity to make-up the Module 3 Test otherwise a zero will stand. The Module 3 Test Make-up will appear in the Teams assignments on Monday, September, 28, 2020. Make-up tests will not appear in the General channel, you will need to click on the Assignments tab to access the make-up test. An email has been sent to every student, through their student email, that has the ability to make-up the Module 2 or 3 Test.
MODULE 1-3 EXIT TICKET AND ASSIGNMENT GRADES: All Module 1, 2 and 3 Exit Tickets, Assignments and Reviews are closed. Sufficient time was provided to students to complete the exit tickets and assignment. All students who entered the class late should have received an informational email from me. If you did not receive an email or have questions, it is the student's responsibility to reach out to me by email, [email protected].
DAILY CLASS ATTENDANCE: Duval Homeroom students (3rd and 4th period only) must check into to the Live session during class to be marked present. Once checked in students will be able to exit the meeting to complete the work when dismissed. Students who do not stay in the virtual meetings will be documented. Mr. Ison will be available during the scheduled class time to help with any questions. Be sure to read over all of the questions prior to the end of class so that you may get any necessary assistance while available. All brick and mortar students are now expected to be in class each day, Monday through Friday, absent a holiday or non-school day to be marked present. To all students - just as a reminder - failure to attend class regularly will result in a student's name being submitted to Truancy, which could result in a student's driver's license being revoked.
SUBMITTING ASSIGNMENTS: Clicking the submit button in Teams does not equate to submitting the assignment. Each Exit Ticket, Assignment and Test must be completed in Forms and submitted prior to the due date and closing date. Students have been continually advised to click the box to be emailed a receipt for their submission. Without the receipt claims for submission will not be considered valid.
MODULE 2 AND 3 NOTES (BRICK AND MORTAR ONLY): Brick and mortar classes need to have their Module 2 & 3 Cornell Notes in class this week for grading (optional). If they are not provided for grading by Wednesday, September 30, then they will no longer be scored.
MODULE 4 NOTES: All Module 4 notes will be available under the files tab for viewing by the day they are covered in class. It is still imperative that students join class while notes are covered. There is information and explanations that are not provided in the notes that could appear on future tests. It is still a requirement for students to attend LIVE sessions at their scheduled time each day and remain in the LIVE session until dismissed.
MODULE 4 EXIT TICKETS AND ASSIGNMENTS: Module 4 Exit Tickets and Assignments will open at 7:15 AM on the day indicated and will be due by 11:59 PM in accordance with the Exit Ticket and Assignment details provided in Teams. Late penalties will apply in accordance with the syllabus. The only exceptions are absences with proper documentation (i.e. a note from doctor/dentist stating the student was seen the specific date of the absence). Note, students with extended time accommodations must request the accommodation prior to the assignment is due. The Lesson 4-1 Exit Ticket is past due.
MODULE 4 TEST AND CLOSING: Module 4 Test and Closing will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. The test will become available at 7:15 AM, due by 2:00 PM and close at 11:59 PM. If the test is not completed by closing a zero will be applied. Be sure to submit your test BEFORE the closing time! Any make-up test provided may NOT be the same test and may consist of more short and extended response questions at a time designated. Remember that all exit tickets and assignments will close by 2:00 PM on the test date (Tuesday, October 6, 2020), and nothing can be submitted after this time. Students with accommodations will not be provided extended time after the closing date and time.
MIDTERM GRADES: Mid-term grades were submitted Friday, September 18, 2020. Mid-Term grades included Module 1 and Module 2 and reflect approximately 50% of the grade for the 1st Quarter. Students who were in danger of failing still had Module 3 and will have Module 4 to pull grades out for the quarter. Those who have been completing the work assigned will qualify for the 1st Quarter Recovery Test. Remember, a student must submit every Exit Ticket and Assignment prior to the closing date for each module to qualify for test remediation. Student progress reports reflecting a D or F shall consider these Mid-Term Progress Reports as a Scholarship Warning. Progress reports are available in Focus this week for viewing.
