MODULE 11 TEST & CLOSING: The Module 11 Test will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. The test will become available at 7:15 AM, due by the end of class and close by 11:59 PM. MODULE 9 TEST MAKE-UP: The Module 9 Test Make-up is available for students who were not present in class when it was assigned. The make-up test became available starting at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023 and will remain available until 7:15 AM on Monday, February 6, 2023. Once the test is opened you will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to submit the test. Any student that does not take the make-up test as assigned will keep the zero as a permanent grade, consider it homework. The test may contain a mixture of short and extended response questions, fill-in-the blank, and multiple choice questions. Any student found to be cheating (plagiarism included) on the test will receive a zero and a referral will be submitted in accordance with the DCPS Student Code of Conduct (this is not "double jeopardy", but an academic and code of conduct consequence as provided for under DCSB Policy).

SYLLABUS MODIFICATION FOR 3Q/4Q (Final Reminder): To encourage academic honesty, late penalties will be applied on assignments submitted after due. Assignments not submitted by due will be entered as a zero. To excuse the assignment the assignment must be submitted with a passing score of a B or higher, otherwise the failing grade will be scored. Students that do not provide proper documentation for an absence will have their assignment scored the same as a late assignment. Tests not submitted by due will have a 20% late penalty applied. Tests not submitted by closing will result in a zero score. There will be no make-up provided for a student in class that does not submit the test by closing. A student who was absent from class will be provided a different version of the test. This test may include short or extended response questions, fill-in-the-blank (spelling will count), and will be timed. Failure to take the make-up test as scheduled will result in the zero being permanent. It is the student's responsibility to be in class, independently complete assignments and tests, and submit the tests and assignments on time.
ABSENCE(S): If you are absent from class for any reason you need to check the Weekly Announcement for what work will be covered in class each day. Assignments will continue to appear in the Assignments section on Teams. Students missing class are expected to complete all assignments and tests. Students missing class are expected to read the available textbook and view available tutorials. Students have access to a digital text book (Open Stax) via the link provided, on the class website (IsonBiology.com), and on the course syllabus (located in the Course Documents folder in the Files tab). The tutorials are available on the class website. Students missing more than 5 days in a 30-Day period or 10 days in a 90-Day period will be addressed in accordance with School Board Policy 5.42 and the Florida Statutes concerning truancy.
